Тодорхойлолт
From an early age, she grew up working alongside her parents in livestock herding. At the age of five, she began riding horses in traditional festivals and learned to perform um marzai (a traditional vocal chant also known as zee).
She inherited and mastered the Borjigon style of Mongolian long-song (urtiin duu) from her biological parents, her mother Sosor and father Dondgoo.
Together with the twin brothers T. Shanuu and Ch. Shinebayar, she also composed praise songs dedicated to two sacred mountains in her homeland, entitled Yembuu Gegeen Shuteen and Tsagaan Öndör Khairkhan. These works were presented at the Nomadic Mongolia National Festival in 2022 and 2023.
In 2019, the relevant intangible cultural heritage was inscribed on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
She is a distinguished bearer of intangible cultural heritage who has mastered the Borjigon style of Mongolian long-song and um marzai at a high level of skill, making a valuable contribution to preserving, safeguarding, and transmitting these traditions to younger generations.
